Seagull Awarded More SAP Certifications
It has been years since
Seagull became the first label software company to be an SAP Software Partner.
Today, we are still the only label software company we know of with an
SAP-certified direct interface to SAP IDocs. BarTender also has long supported
the export of printer code templates needed for SAPscript-ITF integrations.
With version 8.01, Service Release 3 (published September 4th, 2007), BarTender has achieved "SAP Certified Integration" status for some of our newer integration capabilities. This includes:
Certified for SAP AII
Certified for SAP NetWeaver
(AII is SAP's "Auto ID Infrastructure" interface.)
"Developers and integrators of supply chain management
software solutions have driven many of our largest BarTender sales into the
enterprise software market," said Jeremy Seigel, CEO of Seagull. "So, it's an
easy decision to keep putting time and money into newer and more powerful
integration methods. SAP is obviously a huge player in the ERP space and our
new certifications are just another part of our long-standing commitment to
leadership in enterprise label printing."
For more details, please see the new and updated White Papers for integrating BarTender with SAP.
Seagull Now an Official Oracle Partner
BarTender
provides a number of integration capabilities that greatly simplify integration
with Oracle software. This includes support for Oracle XML label requests. As
of June 5, 2007, Seagull is also an official Oracle Partner.
For details, please see our White Paper called "XML Integration with Oracle's WMS and MSCA."
Updated Translations for "Getting Started" Manuals
Our printed "Getting Started" manuals have long been published in 23 languages. However, the new documentation specific to capabilities introduced on March 21st, 2007 with version 8.0 was until now printed only in English. Starting with SR3, those English sections have now also been translated.
New White Paper for "Silent Install"
In addition to the new and updated white papers for Integrating BarTender with SAP, there is a new white paper documenting the use of "Silent Install." This is a new capability (actually introduced with SR1) that allows integrators and ISVs to use command lines to install BarTender and Seagull License Server without displaying the Install program’s user interface.
Other Recent Certifications
We announced in July that BarTender had been certified by Microsoft for compatibility with Windows Vista. (We had previously self-certified BarTender as Vista-compatible in January.) More details...
