New Printer Models Added in "Drivers
by Seagull" Version 7.1.4 and 7.1.3

The January 10, 2008 release of Drivers by Seagull, version 7.1.4, adds support for many additional printers from a variety of manufacturers, including Argox, Cognitive Solutions, Datamax, Dedruma and SATO. Similarly, version 7.1.3 (released September 20, 2007) added additional models from Argox, Citizen, Datamax, SATO, TSC and Zebra.

"Seagull Driver Wizard"
Simplifies Driver Installation

Part of the BarTender 8.0 release, the Seagull Driver Wizard makes printer driver installation, removal, and updating easier and more reliable than ever. "Drivers by Seagull" continue to be compatible with the Microsoft Windows Add Printer wizard. However, the Seagull Driver Wizard is more reliable. Therefore, when you use it instead of Microsoft's Add Printer wizard to install Seagull drivers, you preemptively avoid a variety of possible installation conflicts that can cause long-term problems. In addition to being included with BarTender 8.0, the Seagull Driver Wizard is also a standard part of all current (that is, non-legacy) printer driver downloads.

Microsoft Certifies BarTender as Vista Compatible

In July 2007, BarTender 8.01 (service release 2) was formally certified by Microsoft as Vista compatible. Seagull had previously approved BarTender v7.75 (service release 2) for use on Vista in January 2007. However, that version had only been self-certified by Seagull. More details...
