Dedicated "Multiuser" Professional Parts Discontinued

Prior to BarTender version 9.3, the Professional edition of BarTender (BT-PRO) was also available in "Multiuser" editions (BT-PRO3, BT-PRO5, BT-PRO10 and BT-PRO25). There was in fact nothing at all different about this "edition" of the software. It was simply multiple, separate BarTender Professional product key codes (PKCs) in a single box with a single manual.

Multiple users are much more cost-effectively supported in a networked environment by purchasing the Automation edition of BarTender (previously called Enterprise). The Automation edition supports an unlimited number of users. Alternatively, when no network connectivity is available between PCs (and support for multiple, individual stand-alone PCs is therefore required), users can still purchase any quantity of BarTender Professional (BT-PRO) parts that they want. Simply specify BT-PRO and the desired quantity when purchasing. (Upon request, multiple PKCs can be provided and the additional boxes and manuals not shipped.)

How to Update Existing Copies of Multiuser Pro

Previously, Seagull Scientific required that users of Multiuser Professional "editions" of BarTender update all of their PKCs (product key codes) at once in order to update their software. For example, the owner of a BT-PRO10 would have to submit all ten of their existing PKCs and pay to update all ten of them. Now, users of existing Multiuser Professional licenses can individually update as few or as many of their PKCs as they want to the latest version of BarTender.
