Changes to Discounts and Clarification
of Licensing for Multi-User
Professional Edition of BarTender

A new discount structure has been introduced for the "multi-user" editions of BarTender Professional. This brings the new price curve for BT-PRO3, BT-PRO5, BT-PRO10 and BT-PRO25 into better alignment with common industry discounts. Please note that the prices of our single license Professional editions (BT-PRO and BTP-PRO, the print-only version) have not changed.

In addition, we have clarified how the Multiuser editions may be used with the following policy statement, now found both on our price sheets and End-User License Agreement:

Professional edition licenses purchased as part of a "multi-user" package, such as BT-PRO3 or higher, must be used by one company and may not be split up for distribution to different companies.

New Prices Effective Immediately
The new prices go into effect August 1, 2007, the date of this announcement. However, resellers with an active, signed Reseller Agreement on file with Seagull Scientific will receive the appropriate grace period, as specified in their agreement.

New Features in "Drivers by Seagull" Version 7.1.2

Drivers by Seagull version 7.1.2 adds a variety of new features, including support for many additional printers. Also, Seagull's printer "Status Monitor" support has been expanded to include Argox and Citizen models. This allows conditions such as "Out of ribbon" and "Off-line" to be viewed for supported thermal label printers right in the standard "Printers and Faxes" folder and "Print Queue" Window.  (No propriety "print manager" software is required).
