“Drivers by Seagull” Keep Rolling Along,
Adding Cognitive and Thermopatch Brands
It’s pretty rare for more than a few months to go by without our printer driver
development team releasing a variety of new features and/or support for new
printer models. August had two such releases: Versions 6.8 and 6.8.1.
New Printer Brands and Models
Driver releases 6.8 and 6.8.1 brought on board the following new printer family
brands:
In addition, the following models were added to Seagull’s list of
already-supported printer driver families:

Avery Dennison: 64-05 RFID, AP 2.4 PPLA, AP 3.4 PPLA

TEC: B-415, B-SP2D, B-SP2D-JP

Zebra: 170XiIII Plus (203 dpi), 220XiIII Plus (300 dpi)
New Features
Some of the newly added features and capabilities include:

Added support for one degree rotation of device fonts in printers that support
it.

Added caching support to all EPL-compatible printers. (EPL was the printer
language formerly used by Eltron and now used by a number of other companies.)
Caching was also added to some not-previously-enhanced Intermec printer
drivers.

Added native printer support for RSS and Composite bar codes to numerous
Intermec and Zebra printers.

Datamax: Added native printer support for EPC RFID tags and RSS Expanded
Stacked bar codes.

The translated (non-English) versions of the user interfaces were updated for
all Seagull-supported languages.

Translation of the user interfaces into Russian was added.
