BarTender 7.1 Released

This "mini" issue of What's Up is mostly dedicated to a quick introduction to BarTender 7.1, which began shipping in place of BarTender 7.0 on June 16th, 2003.

Supporting the New EAN.UCC
"Small Symbologies" Initiative

Many of the new features in BarTender 7.1 were driven by the desire to support the new EAN.UCC "Small Symbologies" initiative. This set of standards especially addresses the challenges of barcoding larger amounts of data in situations where there is only limited space available for the label. Applications of special concern include pharmaceutical and retail, among others. More details about BarTender 7.1...

Version 6.6 of Drivers by Seagull Released

Also recently released was version 6.6 of our world renowned "Drivers by Seagull" Windows printer drivers for thermal printers. New capabilities include improved support for international fonts and print-time status monitoring on some printers (with more to come). Also, we have added numerous new printer models to our "Drivers by Seagull" printer family, now totaling over 750 printer drivers.
