Print-Only Versions

Users that need to print at multiple stations (but don't need to design at all of them) can lower their costs with "Print-Only" versions of BarTender. Print-Only software is ideal for use on all workstations where the ability to load and print existing label designs is required, but modifying the label designs before printing is not. (The Print-Only BarTender can still read input data files and accept keyboard data entered into custom "prompt" dialogs. You just can't make any changes to the label design itself.)

Networking and Site-Licensing Requirements

Companies often need to use many copies of BarTender either individually on multiple PCs or shared on a network. Licenses for multiple workstations is as follows:

Professional and Basic Editions: Licensing is based on the number of workstations on which BarTender will be installed, allowing a defined number of users to print to an unlimited number of printers.
Enterprise Editions: This Edition allows for an unlimited number of users per license. Each license is based on the number of selected printers on each network. Licenses are available in packaged sizes of 3, 5, 10, 20, 40 and "unlimited" printers.

Site Licensing is the most cost-effective way to use the Professional and Basic Editions of BarTender on multiple workstations. Licenses include a CD (or set of diskettes), standard documentation, and a license for the appropriate number of users. Additional documentation is available for an extra charge.

*Per Site
For the purposes of site licensing, we consider a "site" to be a local shared network, a building or a group of buildings located in a single office park. For the Enterprise Edition, each local area network requires a separate license. For licensing at multiple buildings across a wide area network, contact your sales representative.
