BarTender Receives Microsoft Certification
BELLEVUE, WA, USA- October 21, 2002--Seagull has dedicated years
to making BarTender and our "Drivers by Seagull" true Windows printer drivers the most Windows-compliant label software package available. And now our compliance is official! BarTender has received Microsoft's official certification as "Designed for Windows XP, 2000, Me, 98, and Windows NT."
We also note that, although Microsoft no longer officially references Windows 95, we continue to be backward compatible with that product as well.
Microsoft's "Designed for Windows" designation means much more than simply "works with" or "runs" on Windows. To achieve
the "Designed for" status, programs have to show that they take advantage of a wide variety of important Windows features and perform certain functions in the true, official "Windows way."
Support for the appropriate Windows functions ensures not just superior compatibility with Windows itself, but also better compatibility with other Windows programs as well. And, since BarTender so carefully follows the official standards for the proper "look and feel" of Windows software, BarTender is much more likely to seem familiar to new users and therefore be easier to learn.
