Seagull Scientific Introduces New Version 7.0 of BarTender Label Printing Software
BELLEVUE, WA, USA - September 23,
2002--Seagull Scientific, the industry leader in Windows-based label printing solutions, has released the next generation of its label printing software. BarTender 7.0 is available in three BarTender Editions –
Enterprise, Professional, and Basic – offering new label design and printing tools for every level of user. "We are thrilled to provide this powerful new set of enhancements," said Don Ray, Seagull's President. "It is the result of recommendations from BarTender Resellers, BarTender users, and our own development team."
Among its new design features, BarTender 7.0 includes on-screen text editing, rich text formatting, object rotation in 1 degree increments, and Windows-standard "print preview" capabilities. Since BarTender
previews print jobs in their entirety and displays each label using the actual full-page layout, users can reduce printing costs by verifying label formatting and data prior to printing. To further
streamline label design, BarTender 7.0 includes a database of 2,500+ page setup specifications for stock labels from major suppliers like Datamax, Intermec, and Zebra, plus a comprehensive set of industry-specific
graphic symbol fonts. BarTender's new "toolbox" feature – popular in many standard Windows applications, but new to label printing software - lets users quickly drag and drop frequently used components into their
designs. With BarTender's extensive library of label components, users can select components "as is," modify them, or create new ones from scratch.
A full-working, trial edition of BarTender 7.0 is available
for download, free-of-charge, at www.seagullscientific.com/html/products.htm. It is supported in 20 languages and is available with free tech support worldwide.
