Job Overview
You shouldn't ever be bored as our IT Manager. We don't simply develop and sell
high technology products to other companies - we use technology to optimize operations
in every department. But we are looking forward to your help in making our company
even more efficient.
We are seeking an IT Professional that has a successful track record with all aspects
of managing a complex IT infrastructure. You will manage a small team and report
directly to the President/CTO.
Responsibilities
- Define and enforce all IT policies and procedures
- Supervise a small staff, conduct performance reviews, and hire when necessary
- Provide leadership and mentor less experienced staff
- Provide guidance to IT staff in remote locations
- Manage hardware and software assets
- Define business continuity, backup and recovery procedures
- Manage telephony systems and communication circuits
- Manage service contracts and domain registrations
- Manage IT infrastructure in remote office locations
- Negotiate and manage relationships with outside vendors and service providers
- Hands-on as a Systems Administrator
- Hands-on as our Senior Helpdesk Technician
- Hands-on as a SQL Server administrator
- Support a software development organization
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Excellent documentation skills
- Occasional travel to overseas offices in Madrid, Taipei, and Tokyo
Requires at Least 5 Years Experience in Each of the Following
- IT infrastructure and staff management
- Defining and managing IT policies and procedures
- Windows Server 2003/2008
- TCP/IP (DNS, DHCP, routing, VPN)
- SQL Server, Exchange, IIS, Office/Outlook
- Customer service
- Backup Exec or equivalent backup system
- PC/Server/network hardware
- Virtualization (VMware or equivalent)
Additional Qualifications
- Technical certifications a plus (MCSE, CISSP, CCNE, etc)
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM or AX helpful
- Good organizational habits and outstanding attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Positive, team-oriented attitude
